BEHIND THE STUDENT ACTIVIST LEADER CURTAIN

A Podcast Interview Series

The University of Michigan has long held a reputation as a progressive institution. Some claim the University derives this persona from the last sentence of its mission statement: developing leaders and citizens who will challenge the present and enrich the future. Others believe the progressive label is the product of institutionalized liberal bias. Student activist leaders, however, know one of the  contributing factors to the perception is the wide range of advocacy by student leaders.

Investigating activism at the University of Michigan, this project provides student activist leaders with a platform to elevate and empower their voices and work via a series of podcast interviews.

While exploring this website, guests can contextualize the project by reading the About This Project section, understand the author's motivation by reviewing the Why Student Activist Leaders section, and hear directly from student activist leaders by listening to the series of podcast interviews.
